KECC History

Started in 1963 with station manager Paul Logston. Before KECC was made, Evangel students would go over to CBC and help out over there. KECC started out in old barax building number 30.
During the 60's KECC played classical music. In the 70's the top 40 and christian rock began to be played on air. KECC stayed contemporary and then switched to soaly christian music.
Evangel holds a carrier curent station which was originaly connected to plumbing, and is now connected to the electrical part of the campus.
The stations we have gone through are: 6:10 AM, 91.5 FM, 93.5 FM, and now 98.1 FM.

KECC is now stereo throgh two cable lines to walther hall.
KECC is proud to still have old 40's records that will not be bought or sold for any price. This is the heritage of KECC.
