KECC Radio The BUZZ
History
Beginnings:
KECC started in 1962 with station manager Bruce Willemsen. Prior to the establishment of KECC, Evangel and Central Bible College cooperated using CBC's station to give hands-on experience to students from both schools.
In the early years, the radio station played strictly classical music.
It was not until the 70's that KECC began to play a mix of top 40 songs and contemporary Christian hits.

The frequencies that KECC has used in the past are 610 AM, 91.5 FM, 93.5 FM, and currently 98.1 FM.
The shows can be watched on the campus cable system by turning to channel 13.
Present:
KECC plays a wide arrangement of contemporary Christian music. The top 20 Christian songs are updated each week and played by students.
Students that participate in the radio studio are either volunteers or taking Radio Workshop as a class. Students run all of the equipment and spend 4 hours a week on air.
KECC can now be streamed live through the home page of CrusaderMedia. It is a great tool for students to listen to contemporary Christian music while studying, or going about their every day routine.
